Anthony, if you have a bug in Ubuntu, could you please boot into a prior release working environment, and file a new report by executing the following in a terminal:
ubuntu-bug ubiquity

Bug description:
  Downloaded 11.10 release. made a USB live edition. The install process
  stops at the 'Chose a picture' screen as the proceed button, I
  presume, is off screen i.e below by 575 pixel vertical resolution.
