I am sorry that this report has gone so long without being responded to.
Given how much time has passed I am sure that all evidence of the
original problem is now lost, so I am closing this report. If you have
problems with gparted again, please file a new report.

Title:
  gparted crash resizing fat32

Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gparted

This is with gparted 0.3.8-1ubuntu2 on intrepid.

I resized a fat32 partition on an external firewire drive. It
completed the actual resize, and was in the stage of "growing" the
filesystem. This seemed to be taking forever and I left it overnight.
The next day gparted had died and I have some output (attached) since
I ran it from a terminal.

The fat32 partition had been mounted by this stage - I think after
dosfsck completed. It didn't sound good that it was still busy but on
a mounted partition. The partition seems OK - the data is apparently
  all right.
