[Bug 1069281] Re: Crash during installation of 11.04

Ubuntu Foundation's Bug Bot 1069281 at bugs.launchpad.net
Sun Oct 21 08:16:34 UTC 2012

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I noticed that you are installing an older version of Ubuntu, unless you have some specific requirements to run an older release I recommend trying to install the latest version of Ubuntu. We released version 12.04, in April of 2012, and it is a Long Term Support release. You can find different ways to obtain it at http://download.ubuntu.com. In the event that you really want to run the older version of Ubuntu please set this bug's status back to New. Thanks!

Title:
  Crash during installation of 11.04

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I got a message telling me to file this bug as my installation of
  11.04 crashed.

I had this installed and working fine few days ago, then I installed
12.04 and had been struggling with the installation. Tried it a lot of
  times with no success.

So I thought of moving back to 11.04 and got this crash.
Find attached the files mentioned in the crash report:

  /var/log/syslog and
  /var/log/partman

Please keep in mind I want to install 12.04 and then 12.10 after
  resolving this issue.

Do let me know what is causing this issue suddenly.
