Good evening,

while I was trying to upgrade my computer from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10 I
had this error message (sorry it is in french)

"Informations sur les paquets non valables

Après avoir mis à jour l'information sur les paquets, le paquet essentiel « ubuntu-minimal » est introuvable.
Ceci signale d'une erreur grave, veuillez signaler ce bogue en saisissant « ubuntu-bug update-manager » dans un terminal et incluez les fichiers présents dans le dossier /var/log/dist-upgrade/ dans le signalement de bogue."

so I joined the list of the name of the files I have in the /var/log
/dist-upgrade/ folder

20130220-2313  20130220-2326                  apt.log    main.log
20130220-2317  apt-clone_system_state.tar.gz  lspci.txt  term.log

I am sorry I am not quite good using Ubuntu so I don't know what kind of
information is necessary to solve this and how to get it.
