This "wfica" isn't from the Ubuntu repositories, and an application that
causes a SEGV in libc is generally buggy, not libc itself.  If you
believe otherwise, please submit a small source reproducer and an
explanation of the crash.

  This crash happens intermittently, either by mouse input, timer or
  some other interaction.

  
  What should happen is that the application should continue to function normally, instead something causes this crash and remote sessions are lost.  I don;t believe this is a package available via apt-get/synaptic.
