It seems that it is qtcreator's gdb plugin bug. I've tested 2.7.0 from
raring repository and 2.7.1 from Digia. Looks like behavior change in
gdb since 7.6. It is not gdb core bug because I successfully debugged my
app from gdb command line interface.

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  If I set a breakpoint in a thread other than the main thread then gdb
  will hang when the breakpoint is reached. If I downgrade to the
  gdb-7.5 package for Ubuntu 12.10 then it works fine.
