I'd neglected to say how "Ubuntu base" should be sorted. I've done that
now.

Title:
Missing "sort by" option in update list (size, name, version)

Status in Software Updater:
  Invalid
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
This is not a real bug, but rather a feature request. I think there should be an option "sort by" name, version, and SIZE.
When I look for updates, many times I don't download all the proposed ones, especially the big updates (sometimes I want to download big files in another moment). Everytime I have to check the biggest one and when there are a lot of updates I waste useful time.

  <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates#sorting>: "Sorting by:
  * “Restart Required” should list updates requiring a restart before those that don’t.
  * “Install”/“Name” (the default) should list updates in alphabetical order.
  * “Download”/“Download Size” should list already-downloaded updates first, then the remainder smallest first..."
