Public bug reported:
I am unable to update using update manager. I went through a period
when I had no internet so I knew it could not update, then got a secure
wireless link and the update manager no longer worked. From the
message, i sounded like the speed was too slow, so I connected next to
the router and same message. Are the repositories for 9.10 no longer
available? I tried to upgrade, but i was told to check my internet
connection, it works fine even for some video streaming so i don;t know
where to start.
Error message I get when trying to upgrade is:
Could not download all repository indexes
The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted
because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed
index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your
network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences
is correct.

Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I tried going into settings and choose a download server and hit the select best server button, this was the error message I got.
No suitable download server was found
Please check your Internet connection.
My internet connection works, I am using it to ask this question.
I am not very well versed in Linux, so if someone could help me, it be
very much appreciated
Thanks, Mark
