Thank you for the response!
If there was one such warning about BIOS vs. EFI disk partition layouts,
it certainly was not prominent. I ran through the procedure twice, and
did not notice it. Perhaps it should be not just a warning, but a hard
error. There is not much point in continuing with the installation
procedure that is destined for a known failure! In the face of a hard
error, the user is forced to correct the disk partition scheme before
retrying.
Just my two cents, of course!
