Thanks. I had tried several different BIOS configurations in an attempt
to get it to work without any success. I ran a diagnostic on the hard
disc and it checked it out okay, so I formatted the USB and recreated
the installer/bootable USB. Worked like a charm.

  about one third to halfway through file transfer. Installing on a
