  program crases after ubgrade to new version.home screen without
  programs.cannot log in or log out

Bug description:
  after my upgrade of ubuntu saucy salamander to 14.4 program begin to
  be extreme slow.Some times i cannot log in or log out.The system stop
  working while in an app or web page.I have to force shut down by the
  power button and restart again,sometimes i dont have the programs list
  on my desktop.Please fix this
