The verification of the Stable Release Update for software-properties
has completed successfully and the package has now been released to
-updates.  Subsequently, the Ubuntu Stable Release Updates Team is being
unsubscribed and will not receive messages about this bug report.  In
the event that you encounter a regression using the package from
-updates please report a new bug using ubuntu-bug and tag the bug report
regression-update so we can easily find any regresssions.

Bug description:
  If setlocale("C.UTF-8") fails the software-propoerties-dbus backend fails as well,
  see https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/70c1930688440b1818145db3346da61eb39a7ac8?

  Test case:- I don't know how to make C.UTF-8 a invalid locale so a
  regression test is enough (the crash is pretty rare too)

  Also watching the errors bucket to ensure the crash does not occur
  with the proposed package should help.
