Dear Philip,
The problem seems solved. I removed the sd card en had a normal installation completed. Thanks so much.

  Don't know wheather it's a bug. I'm using 13.10. I expected it to
  function, but it didn't. I'm very fond of Ubuntu and I suppose it's my
  fault.
