Status in “grub-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Fails on grub install /dev/sda failed 'This is a fatal error' My
  system is a dell dimension 9100 previously running XP which I have now
  deleted. I can load trial ubuntu on usb but install fails every time
  because of above bug. I have run boot-repair but still fails on same
  error. Help Ubuntu is latest version
