My 10.04 has expired and the update-manager hangs. If it did not i could
upgrade from the upgrade-manager. Now I am usind iso image.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  I'm attempting to upgrade from Karmic to Lucid Beta2 using 'update-
  manager -d'. The upgrade fails (see screenshot) and I see the
  following issue in the logs:

  2010-04-12 13:16:09,605 ERROR Dist-upgrade failed: 'E:Unable to
  correct problems, you have held broken packages.'

  and

  Starting 2
  Investigating linux-image-generic
  Package linux-image-generic has broken Depends on linux-image-2.6.32-20-generic
  Investigating linux-generic
  Package linux-generic has broken Depends on linux-image-generic
    Considering linux-image-generic 1 as a solution to linux-generic 10000
      Reinst Failed early because of linux-image-2.6.32-20-generic
   Try to Re-Instate linux-image-generic
  Done
