[Bug 1638639] Re: Partition changes before installation with iso appear to be reverted post install

Following day, new install in a partition created in the unallocated
space of the above extended and the installer has once again mucked
about with the size of the extended partition.

Bug description:
  Installing appears to change partition layout when not expected

  Booted with zesty iso.

  Opened gparted (start.png attached)

  Extended sda1 to take up whole of drive, completed without error
  (changed.png attached)

  Installed zesty to a partition.

  Rebooted into a current install and ran gparted - which shows the
  extended partition no longer using the whole of the available space
  (zesty.png attached)
