  i386 compilation hang with rocksdb (via ceph)

Status in gcc-6 package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Ceph vendors a specific version of rocksdb, which in the Ceph 12.0.3
  release results in a compilation hang on artful i386 only for one of
  the objects;  The same code using the Xenial gcc-5 compiler does not
  have the same issue.

  To reproduce (in a i386 chroot):

  apt install git
  git clone https://github.com/facebook/rocksdb
  cd rocksdb
  git checkout e15382c
  make monitoring/statistics.o

  The build task for monitoring/statistics.o will hang until timeouts
  get hit.
