Public bug reported:

Hi,

While upgrading my Ubuntu from 16.04 to 18.04, I used the shortcut windows+L while going away from my computer, which locked the screen.
I received a message that screen lock would be disabled when I launched the version upgrade, but apparently it does not include windows+L.
I am running Ubuntu on a VM on Windows, a screenshot is joined to this bug.
The upgrade is still running because the resource monitor indicates that VirtualBox is still consuming Network. I am planning to let it run till network stop being used, and restart my Ubuntu to see if it still work. I will update this bug then.

** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Attachment added: "screen locked during version upgrade after windows+L"
