Hi,
After waiting a bit, I managed to solve the issue by opening a guest
session, and then logging out while connected as guest. Then I find
myself on the right lock screen, and I can connect to my account by
using my password.
I guess this can be a solution if the bug happen to other people.

Title:
16.04->18.04 : screen lock on windows+L, impossible to reconnect
Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Hi,
While upgrading my Ubuntu from 16.04 to 18.04, I used the shortcut windows+L while going away from my computer, which locked the screen.
I received a message that screen lock would be disabled when I launched the version upgrade, but apparently it does not include windows+L.
I am running Ubuntu on a VM on Windows, a screenshot is joined to this bug.
The upgrade is still running because the resource monitor indicates that VirtualBox is still consuming Network. I am planning to let it run till network stop being used, and restart my Ubuntu to see if it still work. I will update this bug then.
