Bug description:
ubuntu 16.04.3 distribution works, i have updates up to 2017 and all works fine.
but this years 2018 package updates with the firefox58 after installing all packages
the os still works. but when you reboot. the screen freezes, with 2 lines on the top
part of the screen. the computer still works, with the screen frozen. you can login,
use the ctrl-alt-t to get a terminal. and you can type shutdown or reboot.
i tried ctrl-alt-t and typed "service lightdm stop" and use alt-f1 to use a terminal.
i can't do much with out a gui, so just shutdown again.
oh i am using a lenovo x60 laptop t2500 cpu i915 chipset 80801 southbridge.
i do not know how to reset the display, please enlighten me on the commands needed.
thanks...
