[Bug 1846426] [NEW] Crash in install

Public bug reported:

On the screen where partitions are entered, I forgot to select "format"
the partition that already had Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The install alerted and
I returned to select. After that, an error message popped up saying I
had a problem with the HD / CD.
