Yeah, it's not ideal but it's more of a general Ubuntu question than a
Lubuntu one.

  When booting to install the  language selection menu not available

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  When booting up the image to install the language selection menu is
  not available. The boot loader (grub) appears and I can select "Start
  Lubuntu" and the system loads correctly to the live desktop.

  This occurred on Intel NUC8i3BEK with M.2 SSD disk
