Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-life on April 29, 2021.

Moreover, Lubuntu 16.04 reached end-of-life in April of 2019.

  trying to install odmlive from the iso file, it boots OK but when
  attempting to create a persistant install the installer crashes, this
  is on a fresh VM.
