Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing
future users from hitting the same bug.

FYI:  You tagged your issue as being about the installer (`ubiquity`) on
EOL installation media.  If your bug report is valid you filed it
against the wrong package, as you filed it about installation media
dated 20170215 that was EOL in 2019-April.  If you're filing against
something else, sorry it's unclear to me.

  trying to install odmlive from the iso file, it boots OK but when
  attempting to create a persistant install the installer crashes, this
  is on a fresh VM.
