I was impacted by this myself....the automated nature of this is
especially troublesome.
This def. is a high impact bug - esp for novice users to try to
troubleshoot and resolve on their own.
Please escalate.
Thankfully, I pulled a page from openSUSE playbook and rolled back a few
days (used btrfs + time machine). And I can now get back to work ;D

Bug description:
Over night my work laptop was on some ubuntu notification upgrades and today after a short restart the wifi icon got a question mark on it, internet is working fine but my projects are not working anymore due to this problem beucase of the following error attached bellow.
Before this upgrade or update the laptop worked without any problem
