Title:
Doublr enteries in sources.list
Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
After upgrading to ubuntu 24.04, the `sudo apt update` command was
giving warnings of duplicate entries in sources.list(path
`/etc/apt/sources.list`), on inspection it was found that there were
double entries for all three noble, noble-updates and noble-security
in particular to restricted universe and multiverse. It seems (what I
presume is) that the up gradation process and later updating the file
automatically with ubuntu-release-upgrader cause the presence of 2
entries as this error was not previously present. It could be that
those entries were already present before upgrade and after upgrade
the new automated enteries created the duplicates but this is less
probable as I was in jammy previous which should be having the entries
for noble. I also never updated the file manually. Please ask for any
further information if needed. Given commands produce the following
output.
>lsb_release -rd
