Thanks. I appreciate it. I removed postgresql-9.5, then had to remove
postgresql-9.6, then postgresql-12, then postgresql-13. This seems to
have enabled me to perform the upgrade.

  unable to upgrade to 24.04 due to postgresql-9.5

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I am trying to upgrade my version of Ubuntu to 24.04 but it states
  that:

  The package 'postgresql-9.5' is marked for removal but it is in the
  removal deny list.

  I'm not sure how to allow postgresql 9.5 to be removed so that I can
  continue with my upgrade.
