  SRU: backport the final gdb 15.1 release to 24.04 LTS, including the
  changes from 20240403 up to the release 20240707.
  
- The updated gdb will be part of a test rebuild of 24.04 LTS main on all
- architectures.
+ A test rebuild using these packages was done as described in LP:
+ #2076024.
+ 
+ The gdb testsuite run during the build doesn't show regressions.
