Title:
"Syntax error at line 248 in generated grub.cfg.new in Ubuntu 25.04
  (Plucky)"

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When attempting to run sudo update-grub on Ubuntu 25.04 (Plucky), a
syntax error occurs on line 248 of the generated grub.cfg file. The
error is ‘syntax error’ and ‘Incorrect command’. This occurs
consistently. My /etc/default/grub is clean, and there are no
significant manual edits in /etc/grub.d/. I have tried reinstalling
the GRUB packages, but the error persists. I am attaching the
  grub.cfg.new file.

  Steps to reproduce:

Update from Ubuntu 24.04 to Ubuntu 25.04.

  Then run sudo update-grub.
