[Bug 2121560] Re: Wifi failing to work on questing daily

Okay, bit more investigation on this: looks like the newer version of
wpasupplicant doesn't like our current version of the wifi firmware. The
newest version from upstream works happily on the Pi 5 and 4.
Considering it's about time we upgraded the firmware package anyway, I'm
going to take the opportunity to bump it.

One complication is that the current package is using the aliased /lib
paths for a ton of stuff (including redirections, alternatives, and dpkg
diversions ... urgh!). I should probably try and sort this out at the
same time (which is something I've been putting off for far too long).

Title:
Wifi failing to work on questing daily

Status in linux-firmware-raspi package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in linux-raspi package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in wpasupplicant package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
On the current questing dailies, Wifi is failing to operate on all Pi
boards with a 43455 (or similar) chip. Specifically, this is affecting
the 3+, 4B, and 5 (and variants thereof including compute modules).
The symptom appears to be that authentication is timing out, followed
by a pile of set chanspec warnings (but that's probably just LP:
  #2063365 still rearing its head).

I'm not sure if this is a firmware, kernel, or wpa_supplicant issue so
I'm going to mark this as affecting all three for now, and sort out
  which is at fault later.
