Title:
recovery menu keyboard freezes / lags
Status in friendly-recovery package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
When i select Grub recovery entry, ubuntu starts /lib/recovery-mode/recovery-menu
And it is pretty impossible to do anything with it using keyboard.
Keyboard keep lagging until you, slowly, patiently, in suffering ... try different combinations of Ctrl-keys to `invisibly close` (i don't remember how this shell feature called. running job in background or something) this script. And then slowly, patiently, in suffering ... write pstree -p , following kill <PID of recovery-mode script> and only then you get your keyboard back.
I see users suffering from this bug starting from 2010... they think
it is somehow related to Grub, or different keyboards... but it's just
poorly written script bug.
Happy New Year.
