Bug description:
  i googled for this message and found:

  "ubiquity: Error restoring installed applications"

  some things that might cause this:

  i formatted root partition with gparted, and did not reformat it with
  ubiquity.

  i entered ubiquity first time, then closed it due to efi warnings (bug
  1870913).

  when i entered ubiquity second time, i thought i started it 2 times,
  because it loaded long and i double clicked it second time, then
  closed it, or both of them, then restarted it.
