  xubuntu 19.10 installer says efi partition is not set

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  i am sure this laptop works in legacy/bios mode now, because it booted
  windowses while did not had any efi partitions. but xubuntu 19.10
  installer warns several times saying that efi partition is not set.

  proof that live dvd may be booted in efi mode while laptop works in
  legacy mode:
