Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
review all reported bugs in a timely manner.

Ubuntu 21.10 (impish) reached end-of-life on July 14, 2022.

The Ubiquity installer is now unmaintained as it has been replaced by
either the 'Ubuntu Desktop Installer' or 'Calamares' starting with the
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS release. So this bug report is being closed as
'Invalid' as the reported issue will not be fixed.

Title:
ubuntu 21.10 fresh install with ZFS ecrypted installation boot hangs

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hello!
as I also ask here https://askubuntu.com/questions/1389809/fresh-install-of-ubuntu-21-10-with-zfs-boot-drive-encryption-hangs-on-reboot

i'm trying to install ubuntu 21.10 on a new workstation on its own
SSD, (a Ryzen 9 - 16 core cpu, x570 Asus mother board, etc), and i'm
seeing a very frustrating problem that only happens when I install ZFS
with encryption enabled via the default installer. Frustratingly,
theres no such problem with just doing a zfs install without
  encryption.

after i do the install via the live cd gui tool, i'm able to reboot
and login into it the first time, with the whole "decrypt drive" step
(albeit zfs flavored) then user login. But after that first time, the
next reboot hangs after the disk decryption step where it says
  "cryptsetup: keystore-rpool setup successfully"

any wisdom on how to debug this or avoidthis problem while still
having a reliable file system that supports encryption? :)

also it seems like this is a very real bug, but i cant figure out how to report this to the issue tracker
