Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
review all reported bugs in a timely manner.
Ubuntu 20.04 (focal) reached end-of-standard-support on May 29, 2025.
The Ubiquity installer is now unmaintained as it has been replaced by
either the 'Ubuntu Desktop Installer' or 'Calamares' starting with the
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS release. So this bug report is being closed as
'Invalid' as the reported issue will not be fixed.

Title:
Bad password when unlocking disk (cryptsetup failed)
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have done a new installation of Ubuntu 20.04.3-desktop-amd64 with LVM encryption enabled (from live USB, then install UBUNTU). The process finished without any problem, but when the PC reboots, I enter my password but I cannot unlock the disk.
I got the error : "Please unlock disk sdb3_crypt. Cryptsetup: ERROR:sdb3_crypt: cryptsetup failed, bad password or options ?"
My password has special char "/".
If I redo the full process with a password without this special char "/", there is no error.
