piboot-try --reset-new is a privileged operation that generally requires
root privileges, e.g. "sudo piboot-try --reset-new". But I'm more
concerned that you appear to be on the plucky kernel (6.14) rather than
the questing one (6.17). Could you attach the output of "ls -lR /boot" ?
