In 26.04, for the Raspberry Pi specifically, flash-kernel is replaced
with the "piboot-try" package (which has the same interface and provides
the "flash-kernel" command).

This *should* be pulled in automatically during upgrade as the ubuntu-
server-raspi and ubuntu-desktop-raspi seeds now point to this (and
likewise, this should remove flash-kernel which is marked as conflicting
with piboot-try).

initramfs-tools is still supported generally, but on the Pi specifically
the upgrade will also try to migrate to dracut (to mitigate issues with
upgraders that still have the smaller 256MB boot partition).

Title:
  Ubuntu 26.04 flash-kernel db is not update-to-date

Status in flash-kernel package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B device and yesterday I installed
Ubuntu 26.04 on it. initramfs-tools and flash-kernel packages fail to
install (more accurately, they did get installed, but failed at
configure step), reporting my device is not recognized. I rolled it
back to my original Ubuntu 24.04 so I can no longer run commands to
  collect detailed information.

By digging into it, the flash-kernel package on Ubuntu 26.04 doesn't
ship with the latest database, while Ubuntu 24.04 does.

The file in question is /usr/share/flash-kernel/db/all.db, on Ubuntu
24.04 it does contain devices Raspberry Pi 4B; on Ubuntu 26.04, it is
  still the old version.

Please update the package on Ubuntu 26.04 otherwise I can't run
update-initramfs properly to add LVM support in the initrd.img (I put
the rootfs in LVM, and everything works fine for Ubuntu 24.04).
