Hi John,

Since I have been looking at series and default-series recently, it
has occurred to me that not having this defined as a sensible default
means that when I run tests on 'raring', and someone else runs tests
on 'quantal', we aren't testing the same thing.

Testing aside, I think this is a very sensible default, and give this
a definite +1.
