Heterogeneous series environments

This sounds like a terrible idea. I think, until we can demonstrate a
serious business case, series should be an invariant within an environment.
Some business cases which I think don't qualify are 'I want to use
series G, but there isn't a charm for it' <- port the charm.
I think we will have to support different architectures on the same
series; amd64, 386, arm.
