goamz license

Hi Gustavo,
You may not be the best person to ask about this, but you're the only
person I know to contact. I'm doing some contract work and am looking
at using goamz. I notice that it's released under the LGPL license.
I'm no lawyer, but most sources I've read indicate that statically
linking to an LGPL library counts as derivative work and it would mean
that the application source needs to be released. And as you know, all
Go applications compiled by 6g are statically linked.
Would it be possible to change the license to a BSD-style one or at
least provide a static linking exception? Do I have any other option
besides not using goamz?
Thanks,
Evan
