There is also tsocks as well thats very light weight and will send most
any cli app transparent to it ( even if it is not proxy aware ) via the
shell, the config is simple too , e.x.
local = 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0
server= ip.to.work.socks.proxy
server_type= 5
server_port= 7070
http://tsocks.sf.net ( I dont think its packaged but there may be
sometihng similar in the archive, I've not looked in a very long time.
