For me it's both, and disabling laptop_mode fixed the problem. Don't you think
it got enough similarity to be in the same bug report?

Never for me either, but I did not use laptop_mode. Did you? I got this problem
on my
Acer TravelMate 620 to, not just my brothers Dell.
