Mark,
Thanks for your attention at what is undoubtedly a busy time. It appears from
Eduardo Gonzales comments above that later versions
of the driver (8.13 and 8.14b) DO work with 2.6.10 at least. There is also a
very recent 8.15 version available from the vendor. If you can give me a 
kernel to install on my warty system I can see whether 8.15 works (the install
instructions don't look too hard). The install script allows
for a patch of the source tree also......
