Summary: 256 char limit for the kernel command-line should be
bigger
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: linux
AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: tjaalton+ubuntu at cc.hut.fi
QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
The current limit of 256 characters on kernel command-line is suboptimal.. it
could be more like 512/1024. What is the tradeoff?
the limit is way too low to use the command-line efficiently for preseeding etc..
