My laptop (Panasonic Let's note Y4) has similar problem on breezy (kernel
version is 2.6.12-9.23).

The system does not utterly shutdown. Screen is blank, but power lamp goes on light.
Removing uhchi_hcd module before shutdown, it works fine. "nolapic" option has
no effective on my laptop.

The previous kernel in breezy colony 4 works well (its version is 2.6.12-8.12).

The kernels after colony 5 (2.6.12-9.14 (colony5) and 2.6.12-9.21 (rc)) have the
same issue as breezy.
The both works fine if uchi_hcd module is removed.
