Tried using the PCB on the drive it came from, and on another
6Y060L0420411/YAR41VWO, to no avail. Only with my client's drive, I'm reading my
own memory instead of drive contents.
Also, the drive with its original PCB doesn't work either. Which I didn't expect
either, because that PCB was replaced because it was broken. Just felt I had to
at least try.
It is weekend here now, and the drive will probably (but not certainly) be with
us during the weekend. I can go to the office any time I want. If you have any
(non-destructive) tests you want me to do, please let me know quickly. If a
kernel developer lives nearby and wants to confirm the bug in person, that is
also possible. Because of the data on it, the drive will not be allowed to leave
this building.
