This is a regression since 2.6.12. If I boot with 2.6.12-10, I can
suspend and resume normally.

/var/log/acpid does not report receiving a resume event.
There does not appear to be any hard drive activity when the machine
resumes. Perhaps this is an IDE chipset bug? (See lspci output.)
