Well, kernel image 2.6.15-22-k7 appears to have the same problem albeit, much less frequent (at least in my experience). So the problem must be the sky2 module. I have disabled it at instead installed sk98lin. So far so good. -- marvel ethernet stops working https://launchpad.net/bugs/45800
