[Bug 50031] Confirmed on M100 with edgy

Also happens on a Toshiba M100, except that sometimes even the first
suspend doesn't work.

Resume will sometimes result in a console display with the first line
half-filled with random characters, and two lines of messages apparently
related to PNP re-initalization.

Hibernation works, but is no replacement (1GB RAM takes too long to dump
and resume from disk).

Video is i810 (added Option "VBERestore" "True"
 option, to no improvement), kernel is  2.6.17-10-generic , etc.
