Public bug reported:
I'm running the latest Hardy, and when I leave my computer logged on and
idle, it deadlocks after some time and needs to be restarted with either
the button or alt-sysrq. The computer reacts to input from the physical
radio kill-switch by turning the bluetooth-light on, but I don't think
it does anything with the wireless. As the iwl3945 does not enable the
LED it is impossible to tell. There is no reaction to keyboard input
except from sysrq. I can not switch VT and I can not use ctrl+alt+del to
reboot. Logs say nothing, but also stops printing ---MARK---
My computer is a Thinkpad T60p with a fireGL card running on the latest
fglrx-driver version 8.471. Crash happens when the monitor is switched
off by dpms, but manually triggering by xset dpms force off does not
cause a deadlock. Also, deadlock occurs both with and without GL-
screensavers. Normal GL applications run fine.
How can I get better logs to help pinpoint the problem?
